INTERNATIONAL EX-LIBRIS EXHIBITION "MAN AND FISH' |
The 4th International Ex-Libris Exhibition "Man
and Fish" is being organized by the University library of Rijeka.
Artists from ali over the vvorld are entitled to participate. Each ex-libris
must within composition of its visual art interpretation include the
text: EX-LIBRIS "MAN AND FISH" and UNIVERSITY LIBRARY OF RIJEKA.
Artists may send up to five ex-libris impressed on paper format not
larger than 15 x 21 cm. The ex-libris may be executed in any known graphic
art techniques. Send two signed ex-libris imprints of each implemented
bookplate together vvith completed application form to the address of
the organizer: UNIVERSITV LIBRARV OF RIJEKA, Dolac l, 51000 Rijeka,
Croatia by the 30st April 2003.

Ali works that arrive in time
will be shown at the exhibition. Works arriving after the mentioned
date, but before the exhibition is laid out, will be exhibited but will
not be reproduced in the catalog of the exhibition. The organizer of
the exhibition will publish a catalog vvith data on ali participating
authors. Each author is entitled to one copy of the catalog, vvhich
the organizer will forward to the artist's address upon closing of the
exhibition. The ex-libris that arrive will remain in permanent possession
of the University library of Rijeka and comprise the Ex-Libris Collection.

A jury of experts will award one prize in cash and
ten certificates of merit and will also propose a number of redemption
avvards. The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the avvarded
ex-libris for publicity purposes (poster, invitation, catalog title).
The authors of avvarded ex-libris are also entitled to a separate vvritten
acknovvl-edgement.
